Optometry

The Diploma in Optometry (OPT), accredited by the Optometrists and Opticians Board, prepares students to practise as competent optometrists in both clinical and community settings. The curriculum is developed in close collaboration with industry partners to ensure industry relevancy. From Year 2, students receive hands-on training under professional supervision at Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Optometry Centre. Students will also undertake a either 16 or 25 weeks internship —which may include local or overseas placements to enhance practical experience in real-world optometric environments.
