Open for Nominations: President's Award for Teachers and Outstanding Youth in Education Award (test)

1. The Ministry of Education (MOE) invites members of the public to nominate educators who have made outstanding contributions in moulding the future of our nation. Nominations for the national awards below are now open.

President's Award for Teachers 2026

2. The President's Award for Teachers (PAT) recognises experienced educators who are role models for the teaching profession. These educators adopt innovative approaches in their lessons, are lifelong learners and are mentors to their peers. They embody deep passion for teaching, and inspire their students and peers through their words and deeds.

3. The award is open to teachers from primary schools, secondary schools, Junior Colleges (JC) / Millennia Institute (MI), as well as educators from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), polytechnics and the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC). Since 1998, PAT has recognised over 140 educators for their teaching excellence, dedication and hard work.

Outstanding Youth in Education Award 2026

4. The Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA) recognises young teachers, aged 35 and below, who are inspiring role models for the teaching profession. These teachers embody youthful idealism, energy, and enthusiasm, inspiring both their students and peers through their words and deeds.

5. OYEA is open to teachers who are presently in service at a primary school, secondary school, JC or MI. Since 1999, more than 100 outstanding young educators have received the award.

Nomination Details

6. Nominations for both awards can be submitted online (https://go.gov.sg/pat2026 and https://go.gov.sg/oyea2026). The links to the online nomination forms can also be found on the Academy of Singapore Teachers website (OYEA Nomination Form and PAT Nomination Form).

7. Nominations for OYEA and PAT will close on 9 January 2026 at 12pm.
